FOR MAKERS & MARKET VENDORS
A good market day.
But did it pay?
The booth fee. The card fees. The hours before the stall even opens. See what a craft fair actually leaves you with.

01 / THE FREE CALCULATOR
Put your day on paper.
Start with the fictional example, or clear it and enter your own figures.
Use one currency throughout. Changing the currency label does not convert amounts. Figures are not saved when you leave; export your summary to keep a copy.
This is an event planning estimate. Include the costs and working time relevant to you; omitted overheads and income tax are not added automatically. Profit is not the same as your bank balance.
Make it yours.
02 / KEEP A LONGER RECORD
One file.
More market days.
The free Excel prototype gives you 40 event rows, automatic profit and hourly calculations, plus a separate worked-example sheet.
- Editable .xlsx file with no macros
- Refunds, event costs and owner-pay comparison
- Blank entries flagged for completion
Prototype v0.1 · Native Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets compatibility still needs user testing. Includes instructions and fictional examples.
A FEW USEFUL DISTINCTIONS
Know what the numbers mean.
Which product costs belong to this event?
Include the cost of products you sold and returns you cannot recover. Stock you can sell at another market stays inventory. Do not count the same product cost twice. Add the share of overheads you want this event to cover under other costs.
Does this calculate a break-even sales target?
No. This version uses the actual costs you enter. A reliable sales target would also need your product margins and how fees change with sales. Those inputs are not part of this prototype.
Is there a paid version?
Not yet. We are testing whether a more complete workbook would be useful at a possible one-time price of US$9. There is no checkout, subscription or purchase commitment. The current calculator and prototype are free.

after a real market?
